The Berliner Mädchenchor shows childhood between light-heartedness and harsh reality, independence and heteronomy, projection surface and glorification.

With "...und weiße Lakritze aus Lammfell" (and white liquorice made of lambskin), director Ulrike Ruf has developed a musical theatre that addresses the complex projection surfaces and dynamics in dealing with childhood as a stage of life on several levels. Based on a cycle of poems by the Berlin poet Ulrike Almut Sandig, with compositions and sounds by Iris ter Schiphorst, played and sung by the Berliner Mädchenchor, the piece reflects on questions of independence and heteronomy in childhood.
