The patron of the Mandolin Year gives a workshop for all Berlin mandolin players as well as members of plucked string orchestras from Berlin and the surrounding area.

3-7 pm Megaconcert of plucked string orchestras (St. Elisabeth-Kirche)
The unique opportunity to hear all Berlin plucked string orchestras! And as special guests: plucked string ensembles from Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt. With the Workshop Orchestra and Avi Avital, Instrumental Group Pandurina, Köpenicker Zupforchester, Landesjugendzupforchester Brandenburg-Berlin, Landeszupforchester Berlin, Saiten-Ensemble-Steglitz, Teg'ler Zupforchester, Anhaltinisches Zupforchester Dessau, the Wildauer Zupfmusik, the Zupforchester Dahlenwarsleben/ZO Magdeburg and the Landesjugendgitarrenorchester.

The topic "Mandolin for all - how can special instruments become better known?" will be discussed by artist agents Mahide Hein and Sonia Simmenauer, music school director Ina Finger, Carl Parma from the school board, and mandolin experts Joel Betton and Michael Kubik.

4 pm „Oz – a musical fairy tale“ (Villa Elisabeth)
The story of Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz for children and adults of all ages, here in a version for two actors and the mandolin orchestra Chordofonia, conducted by Annika Hinsche, directed by Peter Kirschke.

6 pm Final concert: Avi Avital & friends (St. Elisabeth-Kirche)
Star mandolinist Avi Avital has invited his friends Martynas Levickis from Lithuania (accordion), Haig Yazdjian from Syria (oud) and Itamar Doari from Israel (percussion) to join him in thrilling the audience. A concert that is simply a joy.
