LISBETH
LISBETH is a cemetery café and cultural space located at Sophienfriedhof II cemetery in Berlin-Mitte. Nestled in the peaceful, green atmosphere of the historic cemetery, LISBETH invites visitors to pause, experience art, and share moments of enjoyment in a cozy setting. LISBETH combines culture, cuisine, and community.
History of LISBETH
The Kultur Büro Elisabeth, which has already established St. Elisabeth Church and Villa Elisabeth as well-known cultural venues, was given the opportunity in 2022 to use the historic cemetery administration building and the caretaker's house opposite it at Sophienfriedhof II cemetery for cultural purposes. Since then, LISBETH has been designed as a place of tranquility, exchange, and artistic reflection in collaboration with artist and curator Alexis Hyman Wolff.
Since May 2024, Chiara de Martin Topranin has been the gastronomic partner, delighting guests with an Italian food concept. In addition to a selection of high-quality coffee specialties, cakes, and aperitifs, the café-bistro also offers Italian classics such as lasagna, parmigiana di melanzane, and arancini.
