The three live performances—*The Body In Which I Feel at Home*, *So Absurd!*, and *The Unarrived Body*—as well as the exhibition are part of the 2026 Open Monument Day event.
In the three live performances *The Body In Which I Feel at Home*, *So Absurd!*, and *The Unarrived Body*, Ya-Wen Fu creates a space for experience in which bodies unfold in their liminal state through wearable structures, real-time imagery, sound, and mechanical feedback. In a present where technological and social forces intervene in bodily experience, the mixed-media exhibition at St. Elisabeth Church on Saturday and Sunday invites visitors to question familiar patterns of thought and action and to re-experience their own bodies as an unfinished process.
Technology, as an active interface, intervenes in the performers’ movements. It anticipates, delays, and modulates physical impulses. It creates a state of non-arrival. Moments of transition emerge, moving between forces of action, never reaching a completed form in the body. In these complex, hybrid processes, the body becomes a medium of insight and reveals the constitution of our being. Curated by Peggy Schoenegge.
