RIAS Chamber Choir Berlin: Palestrina's Missa Brevis in church service
10:30 a.m.
The RIAS Chamber Choir brings Palestrina's "Missa Brevis" back to its origins in church services.
To mark the 500th birthday of Renaissance composer Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, the RIAS Kammerchor Berlin will be devoting itself intensively to the work of this outstanding master of church music during the 2025/26 season. Principal conductor Justin Doyle is keen not only to perform Palestrina's works at major concerts in the Philharmonie, but also to bring this magnificent and at the same time heartfelt music to the place for which it was originally written: the church service.
