New Year's Eve organ concert with Maximilian Schnaus

The New Year's Eve organ concert has been a firm tradition for many years and forms the atmospheric conclusion to the musical year at Sophienkirche. This year, Maximilian Schnaus, organist at Sophienkirche and church musician at the Weinberg parish, will be organizing the concert with a program consisting mainly of French organ music. The program includes Baroque masterpieces as well as sonorous Romantic compositions – and this time, a musical surprise awaits the audience at the end.

At the organ concerts in the Sophienkirche, a video transmission in the nave allows the audience to experience the fascinating hand and footwork of the organists up close.
