Music at Sophienkirche: Organ concert by Dominik Susteck
6 p.m.
Organ concert | Music in the Sophienkirche | Early music
Dominik Susteck is an outstanding composer and improviser who opens up new worlds of sound with his innovative approach to the organ. After studying in Cologne and Düsseldorf, he made a name for himself as a performer of contemporary organ music at the Kunst-Station Sankt Peter church in Cologne. In his concert at the Sophienkirche, Susteck presents an exciting program: in addition to his own works, compositions by Nicolaus Bruhns, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Olivier Messiaen will be performed. Look forward to a varied concert experience that combines the rich Baroque tradition of organ music with experimental sounds.
At the organ concerts in the Sophienkirche, a video transmission in the nave allows the audience to experience the fascinating hand and footwork of the organists up close.
