Irish Chamber Orchestra: W. A. Mozart "Requiem"
7:30 p.m.
Concert | Early music | Mozart
Mozart's unfinished Requiem is moving with its stirring drama, deep melancholy, and comforting soulfulness. Not least because of its partly mysterious origins, linked to Mozart's own death, it is shrouded in an aura of mystery and transcendence. Together with the Chamber Choir Ireland, the Irish Chamber Orchestra under Thomas Zehetmair will perform Mozart's masterpiece; a new work by the renowned Irish composer David Fennessy will also be premiered in Germany.
