Dance in August: "Screensaver Series: Sleeper Softwares" by J Neve Harrington
August 27 and 28, 6 p.m. | August 29, 7 p.m.
"Beyond the Stage": Artist Talk on August 28 following the performance
Dance | Relaxed Performance | International Dance Festival | German premiere
J Neve Harrington's artistic practice is based on research into play and relationship structures, dealing with accessibility, attention processes, and neurodiversity. In her hypnotic, kaleidoscopic dance and sound installation, Harrington refers to the constant change of screen saver programs: the dancers' continuous movements are reminiscent of their patterns and permanent activity. In doing so, they create fleeting images of nature, transformation, and care work. In Berlin, the Relaxed Performance will be presented in a new version that invites viewers to experience it in a variety of ways. You can get a first glimpse in the trailer.

Relaxed Performance
Relaxed Performances aim to welcome all visitors for whom sitting still for long periods of time in a theater is a barrier. This applies in particular to neurodivergent people (including autistic people, people with Tourette's or ADHD), people with learning difficulties, or people with chronic pain. However, many other people may also choose to attend a relaxed performance, either because they need to or because they like the inclusive environment.
